After becoming debilitated by Fibromyalgia and autoimmune disease in my early twenties, I spent years trying different prescription medications, supplements, and alternative therapies, desperate for any kind of relief. I needed a cane even for short walks, and was accustomed to being out of commission for days after doing anything physically demanding.
Strength training was first recommended to me by an old friend of mine who had suffered from Fibromyalgia and other conditions for a number of years. At first, it was hard to believe that any form of exercise was feasible for a body like mine, let alone one that looked so strenuous. When I finally decided to try picking up a set of dumbbells, the effects were transformative: in just one year, I had regained my ability to do daily tasks with minimal pain. After three years, I have a more active lifestyle than ever before and can pursue movement without fear of the consequences.
In addition to working with many amazing Fibromyalgia patients, I have also worked with people who have Ehlers-Danlos, Multiple Scleroses, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, CPTSD, addiction, and other complex conditions. My exercise programs are designed to support your physiological and emotional needs in a fun and judgement-free space.
